Off Strip · Season One

Your restaurant, as a film.

We spend a day inside your restaurant and come back with a documentary. Not an ad, and not a plate reel. Production valued at $10,000, offered at $2,500 for the founding season.

The restaurant keeps full usage rights with no ongoing licensing fees. Editorial control stays with Off Strip.

From the director

Why we're doing this.

I grew up at my grandmother's kitchen table. That's where we talked and got to know each other, and it's what I look for in a restaurant now.

Your restaurant does that for people. The film is about showing them why.

The Off Strip slate

Three ways to participate.

Standard and Signature differ by runtime and by how much room the story gets. Brand sponsorship is a separate series partnership.

How it moves

From conversation to film.

01

Discovery Call

Fifteen minutes to understand your restaurant, answer questions, and decide whether the story is a fit.

02

Story planning

We identify the people, work, history, and central story before production begins.

03

Production

One day, inside your restaurant. We shoot around service rather than stopping it, and the kitchen keeps working the way it always does.

04

Delivery and release

Final delivery and publication follow the schedule in the signed agreement.

What the restaurant keeps

What you keep, and what we keep.

Full usage rights to every delivered asset, with no ongoing licensing fees.

Editorial control stays with Off Strip. We collaborate on access and factual accuracy, but the independent point of view is what makes this a documentary people trust.

Strong fit

This is a fit if...

  • A restaurant with people, craft, history, or a point of view worth following
  • A team willing to let the camera observe the real work
  • Comfort with Foodbox retaining editorial control
  • Realistic expectations about views, reservations, and outcomes
Not a fit

This isn't a fit if...

  • Paying to control the story or its conclusion
  • Expecting guaranteed reach, reservations, sales, or distribution
  • Requiring a ranking, review, or comparison against another restaurant
  • Tying film selection to Taste Off Strip participation

Before you book

Straight answers.

The call is for story, timing, and fit. The final production agreement controls the work.

01What is the difference between Standard and Signature?

Runtime and depth. Standard is a focused film up to 8 minutes for $1,000, against $4,500 of production value. Signature is a deeper film up to 24 minutes for $2,500, against $10,000 of production value.

02Is this a review or ranking?

No. Off Strip is a documentary series. There are no ratings, winners, staged reactions, or comparisons against another restaurant.

03Who controls the film?

Foodbox keeps editorial control of the Off Strip show. The restaurant receives the usage rights to delivered assets described in the signed production agreement.

04How does production work around service?

The production plan is built around the restaurant's real operation. Timing, access, and the exact production approach are confirmed before filming.

05What happens on the Discovery Call?

Fifteen minutes to understand the restaurant, hear the story, explain the process, and decide whether the next conversation should continue. No pitch deck and no contract on the call.

06Is Taste Off Strip separate from the film?

Yes. Taste Off Strip is a membership for viewers, and members get an offer at restaurants in the series. A restaurant doesn't need to join Taste Off Strip to be considered for an Off Strip film.

07Can the tier price be discounted?

The tiers are not discounted. If Signature does not fit the budget, the appropriate alternative is Standard.
